Off to London

Day 3 in Singapore was a relatively quiet day other than for a bit of shopping, walking about, and eating. We were having problems coping with the heat and humidity and their effects so did not try to do too much. We were glad to be picked up at 8:15pm to go to the airport. Thing went smoothly there with just the minor glitches of a changed departure lounge and a young girl getting sick and eventually she and her family being off-loaded. The flight was uneventful and we made up most of the time. Because I had my walking stick, we were given priority treatment from Immigration and Customs at Heathrow getting through in no time at all. We eventually found our way to the Xpress Tube to Paddington Station where Vija found Paddington Bear. Then it was off to the hotel and a room barely larger than a dog kennel but a quick word to the staff overcame that idea.
