Rydal Mount near Ambleside was the final home of Wordsworth, his sister Dorothy and his wife Mary. It was far larger and brighter than Dove Cottage and had spacious gardens. There are lots of family relics and portraits collected over the years by the National Trust. The obviously recent inclusion of two Tasmanian fern trees and a bottlebrush in the gardens looks a little odd.
