Well, most of the preparation for our tour of England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland has now been done. Vija and I are flying out of Sydney on 6 June 2009, stopping over at Singapore for two days, and then on to London where we will be spending four days catching the sights. We have City of London three-day passes and we intend to make the most of them. Then we will be touring by hire car. We have 30 day heritage passes for the UK and we will put them to good use also. For the first week, we will be based in a Somerset Cottage, then a week in the Lakes District then a week's tour catching many of the sights of Scotland staying each night wherever we can. From there, it is a week in Yorkshire based near to York in the East Riding. We'll then find our way to Stratford on Avon for a week. Then flying from Birmingham to Dublin where we will be going on a seven day bus tour of Ireland and have a couple of free days before flying back to Australia at the end of July.
We intend to keep this Blog updated on a regular basis.
